Leo Van Tuyl was born and raised on the Niagara Peninsula of south-western Ontario. He began his working career as a banker, but was soon drawn to the challenges of the open road as an owner/operator.

It wasn't long before Leo realised there was a need to help other owner/operators in the industry to learn from each others experience, and to work together for the betterment of the trucking industry. Leo became a founding member of an owner/operator association and worked in various capacities to lobby with government authorities on promoting the interests of owner/operators.

This involvement continues today, as he is the Chairman of the OTA Professional Drivers & Operators Forum, representing the Forum on the Ontario Trucking Association's Board of Directors. The Forum is a jointly managed initiative of Truckers' Business Consulting Group and the Ontario Trucking Association. The Forum's purpose is to promote on-the-road professionalism, and be a voice for our operator professionals.

Mr. Van Tuyl is active in providing business consulting services, seminars and business workshops to individual owner/operators. He also specialises in offering consulting services to small trucking fleets. Leo is engaged in offering important financial services and insurance products to TBC Group clientele.
